Message from the President and CEO
Farm Credit Canada is 100% dedicated to Canadian agriculture and food. We’ve served as a strong and stable industry partner for more than 65 years and the current situation is no different.
Canadian agribusinesses, farm operations and food processors are critical drivers of our economy. In 2023 alone, Canada’s agri-food system generated 150 billion of the country’s gross domestic product. Amidst the uncertainty the tariff brings, know we stand ready to support you.
FCC is committed to rapidly delivering solutions for the industry to adapt to the changing trade and economic conditions. This includes help addressing cash flow challenges as businesses adjust to a new operating environment.
Navigating the challenges the tariff brings will take all of us working together as one team, team Canada. Alongside federal and provincial government, and industry partners, FCC is monitoring the situation closely. We’re also working in partnership with our stakeholders and other financial providers to offer the solutions needed to take on the challenges ahead.
Our industry has a proven ability to adapt and be resilient, and our collective grit and determination will serve us well once again.
